Your Ego

Heuristically, your brain is learning all movement whether you’re aware of it or not. However, we stand in the way of that process because of our insecurities, our ego. Example: you think you look stupid doing a particular movement therefore you don’t do it (even if your teacher is encouraging you to keep repeating it until all the awkwardness is gone).

But remember when you were a kid, a toddler? Did you care how you looked trying to walk when all you could do is crawl? You didn’t give a damn! Ego? You did not have that (when I was a kid I thought “Ego” was a type of ostrich, for example) Anyway, you must have looked ridiculous then but hey – you walk now!

We have to be like children in that sense. Let go of your ostrich and you’ll be fine.
