Dance Science

Let me give you guys little science behind our dance learning process (No – I don’t want to bore you to death, just trying to prove to you that everybody is able to do well on the dance floor. That is my job after all) I’ll make it short, I promise.

Learning how to dance, like learning how to do anything physical, is about strengthening the connections between the neurons in the brain. The longer we practice something, the stronger these connections become. Each time during such practice more neurons are assigned to work with the skill and that increases the skill’s efficiency and clarity of execution. These neurons will stay connected to the skill for as long as the skill is being used.

Who would have thought that saying “use it or lose it” has scientific undertones?!

See – I didn’t go too deep, did I? 🙂
